Kumon Study Programme A new after school study centre designed to help local children improve and enhance their Maths & English skills is to open at St Francis Church in Bessacarr on 12th June 2008. The new centre will become one of nearly 600 such centres with nearly 55,000 students around the UK.

Kumon is not designed purely to teach Maths & English as an end in itself; it aims to develop the potential of each child by developing self-confidence. There is no failing in Kumon as each child works at their own carefully monitored level.

The Kumon programmes extend from the basics of learning to count and read to A-level standard, through many thousands of finely calibrated worksheets in a logical, step-by-step manner.
